Oh, sure, I can definitely put a phone number, website URL, and Facebook & Twitter icons on your billboard design. That certainly won’t be a complete waste of space. Oh, and you would like me to replace a nice iStock photo with crappy vector art you found yourself? That won’t look awful.

I know I shouldn’t complain about a client, but I’m starting to see why they’ve had such a hard time keeping a designer. My first clue should have been “the last one wouldn’t give me what I want.”

So. Do I knowingly create a shitty piece and cash my check? I already do that for 8 hours a day; I don’t need my “fun” freelance work to turn into that, too.
